CHALLENGE Online tutorials were lacking a decent model of product monetisation. The client wanted to combat this issue by creating a marketplace of 60 second online tutorials that allow users to watch beauty and fashion clips and buy the products used in the videos. SOLUTION Red C built an easily accessible interface that, unlike a search engine, enables users to quickly discover relevant video content, build collections of tutorials and develop their own following. Users are able to record their own expert 60second tutorial via an innovative video capture which allows them to pause recordings and seamlessly stitch video clips together. Users are additionally able to record audio separately and overlay this onto the final video. Unlike previous video platforms Red C developed a system enabling users to buy products they see in the videos via easily accessible links. Thus Soapbox is able to take a cut of transactions made through the app and share them with video creators.
